Izach Porter didn’t start his career selling businesses — he started it evaluating them. Two decades in banking and credit underwriting gave him a close look at what makes a company’s financials hold up under scrutiny, long before he ever founded one himself. He went on to build, grow, and sell several of his own eCommerce companies, which is the experience he now draws on for every ValleyBiggs seller he represents.

What He Focuses On

Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Izach works primarily with eCommerce founders preparing for an exit. His underwriting background shapes how he approaches every engagement: getting a seller’s books, financials, and valuation defensible before a business ever reaches a buyer’s desk. His completed transactions have ranged from $650,000 to $6.9 million, including a day-trading education platform he sold for $4.7 million, built on a 57% recurring-revenue base.

How He Runs a Deal

Izach leads exit-strategy planning first, then execution — valuation, positioning, and running point through every stage of the transaction, so a seller isn’t left managing a deal on top of running their company. He works from a network of private equity firms and family offices, plus a buyer pool of more than a million active acquirers, using that reach to create competitive tension and push toward the strongest multiple a business can support.

Education and Background

Izach holds four undergraduate degrees along with an MBA concentrated in finance, accounting, and quantitative analysis — the analytical grounding behind how he sizes up a business’s real earning power before it goes to market.

Outside the Office

Izach lives in North Carolina with his wife and three children. He’s a wake surfer and downhill skier, and has completed 23 triathlons — the same kind of pacing and endurance he applies to a transaction from first listing to closing table.
